For customers who prefer a traditionally styled garden room, the Walton is the perfect choice. This garden room has been beautifully crafted with clean lines and a pitched felt tiled roof into a traditionally stunning design.
All electrical packages require you to have a live electrical feed or (appropriate size armoured cable) connected to a 16amp Caravan outlet mounted to a wall or fence with the appropriate size lead. Alternatively, a connection box can be installed ready for the appropriate size armoured cable. The outbuilding will be tested via an extension lead and demonstrated it is in working operation.
Does A Garden Room Need Planning Permission In The UK?
As a long established Garden Building & Rooms manufacturing company with over 20 years experience in building installations in many different locations.
This can Depend On Height & Location of the building although most of our buildings have been designed to be under 2.5 mtrs therefore do not usually require planning permission.
We recommend that it’s best to check with your local authority if Planning is required for your building.
For our garden buildings, offices & rooms we recommend a steel or concrete base this usually requires some excavation and ground preparation. There are many other options for building bases, although it is essential in our experience to keep your building heights within the legal requirements. If you are raising the building above ground level taking the overall height higher than the 2.5m legal requirement, Even If the building is mobile it’s still best to check with your local authority. You will find much more information about this and location information requirements on the planning portal and government websites.

What Type of Base Do I Need?
The base must be a solid, flat and level and of sufficient size. We have multiple base options available for all our buildings, Including Megasheds Galvanised Steel Bases, Timber Framed Bases and we also offer a Concrete base service. It’s Important to consider roof overhangs and the space needed for maintenance and installation of your garden building.

Do I Have to Maintain My Building?
Most buildings require regular maintenance although we now have a wide choice of composite & maintenance free buildings available.
What Access Do I Need?
For Buildings Larger than 8’x 8′ we usually need clear access to the height of 8′ (2.4m) from where the delivery vehicle is parked to the base. Our galvanised steel Megabases is manufactured from smaller sections these can fit through a gate or door way.
What if I Don’t Have the Eight Feet (2.4m) Clearance in Height for Access?
Please contact us to discuss if you’re concerned about this as we can build our buildings in smaller sections if required although there may be a charge for this.
